Raifa Bogoroditsky Monastery + Arboretum Raifa and Nature Museum
Description:
On the excursion we will visit not only the unique Raif Lake and monastery, but also the wonderful Dendrological Garden of Raif Forestry, which was founded in 1921 by Kazan University on the initiative of professors K.V. Voit, N.K. Vekhov and V.M. Botkevich on an area of 0.46 hectares. The main territory of the modern arboretum (old arboretum) with an area of 4.1 hectares is divided into departments: Europe (65 species of trees and shrubs), Asia (60 species) and North America (47 species). And we will visit the Museum of Nature, which presents animals living in the Volga-Kama Nature Reserve.
