The shrine of our region is a 17th century men's monastery - Raifa. It is located 25 km from Kazan in the reserve, near the beautiful lake Raifskoye. The complex resembles something like the Kremlin, with its white-stone walls, diverse architecture and its main shrine - the Georgian Icon of the Mother of God.
