Blue Lakes and the Seven-Lake Monastery

The Ascension Seven Lake Monastery, founded in 1615, is located 30 km from the center of Kazan. The main shrine of the monastery was the miraculous Smolensk Sedmioser Icon of the Mother of God, which saved Kazan from the plague in 1654.

The natural surroundings of the Seven Lake Monastery are also a miracle. Near the monastery there are two holy springs. The distant source is known as the source of Mother Anisia or Anisia bed. There people dip in a special bath, built at the source. Cases of healing even from cancer in the late stages have been recorded. Help "Ansiain beds" and women with infertility, as well as people with bone diseases. It is necessary to lie down, or even better to ride on the ground in the place where Mother Anisia’s beds were.

Blue lakes are a place where walruses swim and divers dive all year round. It's a karst lake system. Thanks to powerful underground springs in them all year round the same water temperature of 4-7 degrees. And thanks to the extraordinary transparency of the water, divers admire the sky from the bottom of the lake from a depth of 18 meters.
