Palace Square

Russia, Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan

Description:

The Palace Square is a bright landmark of the historical center of Kazan and one of the newest and most comfortable squares of the city. It is often called the Palace Embankment.

In the south, the pompous Palace of Farmers became the border of the square, in the east - the so-called cottage "village of oil workers", in the north the embankment of the Kazanka River stretches. Also here is the church of St. Eudokia. In 2011, the square was landscaped, an elite residential complex consisting of large multi-storey buildings was built.

The palace square is distinguished by majestic, luxurious architectural forms and rich spectacular evening illumination of objects. From here there is a beautiful view of the illuminated northern wall of the Kremlin, the church of Paraskeva Friday on the hill, as well as modern Zarechye.

Since 2011, an open gala concert of the famous Kazan Autumn opera festival has been held on the square.

There are beautiful alleys, openwork benches, an artificial reservoir and staircases decorated with decorative stone leading to the promenade.
