Fountain with frogs

Russia, Republic of Tatarstan, Gorky Park of Culture and Recreation.

Description:

Kazan Fountain "Frogs" is located in the very center on Bauman Street. The locals, children and guests of the city love it. The modern fountain is a copy of the “Frogs” of the far 50s. The old composition was made of papier-mache, so it could not be preserved for long.

Modern sculpture is presented as a composition of four frogs made of bronze. They are located on the edge of the granite pool. A stream of water comes out of everyone's mouth. The center of the fountain is very interesting. There is an exotic flower, or rather its bud. The composition is small, but very noticeable. Parents like to take funny pictures of their children in front of this fountain. Tourists and guests of the city can touch frogs on the head and back to make their wishes come true.

The author of the sculpture Igor Bashmakov, Honored Artist of Tatarstan. Bashmakov made this beautiful gift for the millennium anniversary of the city. Over the years, while there is a fountain it was visited by more than one thousand tourists.
