Dzerzhinsky Street

One of the most beautiful streets of Kazan is considered to be Dzerzhinsky Street. It is the widest of the urban arteries. And it is located in the center of the city, in the Vakhitov district.

In 2015, the reconstruction of its even side was carried out: more than 7000 square meters of the carriageway were repaired, markings for cyclists’ promotion and signs for parking cars appeared. But the biggest achievement is equipping the street with off-road catchment trays. This should protect the Black Lake, which is adjacent to this object from further flooding by rain drains.

The street is located in the forest park zone - between the reserve Black Lake and Leninsky kindergarten.

There was also one of the historical buildings of the city - the house in which Count L.N. Tolstoy lived and worked. This event was told by a memorial plaque installed on the building. Unfortunately, it has not survived.
