Art Gallery of K. Vasilyev

The museum is dedicated to the life and work of the artist Konstantin Vasiliev.

The gallery was opened on October 29, 1996 as a private initiative of the artist’s close friends. At first it was located in the building on the street. Guards, but then in 2012, the decision of the authorities of Kazan for her was allocated room on the street. Bauman.

The idea of opening the museum-gallery arose from the artist’s friends after the tragic death of Konstantin Vasiliev in 1976. The artist left a great creative legacy.

The exposition of the museum first exhibited about 80 paintings and graphics from private collections. But after the transfer of the sister K. Vasiliev most of the famous paintings of the artist in the Kazan gallery K. Vasiliev gathered almost all of his heritage. Here are now the original works "Waiting" (all three options), "Autumn", "At the well" ("At the window"), "Man with an owl", landscapes: "Twilight", "Foam", "Chapel", etc.; series "Starry Sky": "Constellation", "Cepheus, Andromeda, Cassiopeia", "Above the bonfire", "Observatory"; portraits of famous cultural figures.

To date, the gallery presents the most complete collection of his original works.
