Local Lore Museum of Pestreci

The exhibition occupies three halls. The hall "Culture and life of the peoples of the region" presents the interiors of the Russian and Tatar hut of the late XIX century, interiors of noble and merchant life, photographs and documents of the XIX-early XX century. Hall "Memory" presents the history of the region of the twentieth century, in particular, items of the collectivization period, documents and photographs of natives of the region - participants and witnesses of the First World, Civil and Great Patriotic Wars. One of the fragments is dedicated to the Hero of the Soviet Union, the defender of the Brest fortress Gavrilov P.M. The exposition presents materials about the participants of the Afghan and Chechen wars. In the hall "Folk crafts" there is a collection of private pottery and ceramic workshops and pottery and art craft training workshop of Pestrets village. In addition, ancient and modern wooden carvings, objects of local blacksmith and parquet production of the late XIX - early XX centuries are demonstrated here.
