Description: Shaikhi Mannur (1905-1980) was a famous Tatar writer and translator, collector of Tatar folklore. In 1957 he built a library at his own expense in his native village. In 1995 a museum was opened in this building. The main place in the exposition is occupied by memorial items, manuscripts, books of the writer and his personal library. Among the memorial items are the first books of S. Mannur, written in the Tatar language in Latin graphics in the 20s of the twentieth century, manuscripts, including the autobiographical story “Waters Fluid Sing”, personal belongings and order books (S. Mannur reached Berlin, was a correspondent of the newspaper “Forward to the Enemy”, published in the Tatar language). Materials on the history of writing the novel “Musa” and the creation of a library in the village of Tulbaevo are presented in detail. The exposition introduces materials and documents on the history of the village, as well as household items and clothes of Kazan Tatars. Interest is a collection of miner's lamps, brought in the early twentieth century by the father of S. Mannur and fellow villagers, who in search of earnings traveled many mines of pre-revolutionary Russia. Among the ethnographic subjects of interest are Tatar homespun towels of the beginning of the twentieth century, an operating loom of the end of the XIX century. |
