Description: Konstantin Alekseevich Vasiliev (1942-1976) is a Russian artist whose creative heritage includes more than 400 paintings and graphics: portraits, landscapes, surreal compositions, paintings of epic, mythological and battle genres. The exposition is based on a memorial collection handed over by the artist’s sister V.A. Vasilyeva and his friends. It is located in four memorial rooms-halls and includes sections: family and home, the environment of life, the artist's workshop, the room of the mother of Claudia Parmenovna Vasilyeva. The exposition is biographical in nature and is built on authentic materials telling about the childhood and youth of K. Vasiliev, his studies and formation, environment, the last years of his life, difficult fate and tragic death. In addition, the museum houses some of the artist’s works, including sketches of famous paintings. In 2002, on the 60th anniversary of the artist’s birth, a new hall was opened, the exposition of which tells about the fate and work of K.A. Vasilyev. The decoration uses a certain color scheme, symbolic and decorative motifs characteristic of the works of K. Vasilyev, as well as reproductions from his paintings. |
