G.Kashapov Museum

Gaziz Kashapov Museum of Aksubayev Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan was opened on September 1, 1992, the anniversary of the writer’s death. The creators are Albina Saetovna Zartdinova, Rakhimzyan Latyipovich Mahmutov, Rashit Ziyatdinovich Gafurov, Ahmedulla Rakhmatullovich Zartdinov and many other villagers. The museum is located in the building of the rural House of Culture, occupying an area of 128.7 square meters.

In a cozy square opposite the DC there is a bust of writer Gaziz Kashapov. It was made by the Kazan sculptor Abdrashitov at the expense of residents of the village of Novoye Uzeevo of Aksubayev district as a sign of gratitude to his famous countryman.

The writer’s personal belongings were presented to the museum by his wife, some of the exhibits were handed over by his relatives living in Novaya Uzeevo, Aksubaevsky district.

The museum staff conduct excursions, acquaint visitors with the complex creative biography of Gaziz Kashapov, with moments of his ups and downs in the writing profession, with the creations and heroes of the writer – in short, with everything that once surrounded him and was dear to him.
