Description: Zhiganov Nazib Gayazovich (1911-1988) - composer, Hero of Socialist Labor, People's Artist of the USSR, Laureate of three State Prizes of the USSR, Laureate of the Republican Prize named after G. Tukay, founder of the Kazan State Conservatory and its rector from 1945 to 1988, professor. In the house where the museum is located, Zhiganov spent the last 20 years of his life. The furnishings of the apartment, the world of genuine things surrounding the composer, convey the atmosphere in which he lived and worked. Of great value is the archive - a unique collection of documents of the 20s - 80s of the XX century. These are personal documents, manuscripts, books with notes of the composer himself and gift inscriptions of literary and art figures, as well as memoirs of contemporaries, a photo archive, autographs of outstanding cultural figures. The epistolary archive includes several hundred documents, including letters from D. Shostakovich, A. Khachaturyan, T. Khrennikov, R. Shchedrin, B. Pokrovsky, N. Rakhlin, G. Litinsky and others. The merit of preserving the archives belongs to the wife of the composer N.I. Zhiganova. |
