Museum-Memorial of the Great Patriotic War

The Museum-Memorial of the Great Patriotic War was opened on May 4, 2005 on the eve of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45.

The exposition tells about patriotism and feats of soldiers from Tatarstan, the combat path of military units formed in the republic. It presents: uniforms, weapons, household items, samples of military products, banners, binoculars, tablets, compasses, front letters, newspapers, books, leaflets, drawings of front-line artists, photographs, maps, plans, posters, orders, signs, medals. At the same time, the emphasis is on showing memorial complexes of fellow countrymen - participants of the Great Patriotic War. Among them are unique exhibits from the collections of Heroes of the Soviet Union M.H. Syrtlanova, M.P. Devyataev, G.B. Safiullina, etc.

In the language of documents and relics of war, the exposition tells about the feat of a simple soldier and about a military commander who was responsible for thousands of lives and determined the strategy of battles. Among the unique exhibits are the German anti-tank 37-mm gun, rifle, personal belongings of the dead soldiers, combat banners of regiments, the uniform of officers and generals of the Red Army with awards, captured awards and weapons of the Wehrmacht, etc.

The basis of the exposition of the Museum-Memorial is the materials of the National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan, military search organizations "Snow landing" and "Fatherland", republican organizations of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the edition of the "Book of Memory" of the Republic of Tatarstan, personal archives of participants of the Great Patriotic War.

The exposition presents an electronic version of the Book of Memory, which allows you to obtain data on the dead and missing during the war.
