Mirhaidar Faizi Estate Museum

Republic of Tatarstan (Tatarstan), Baltasin district, Kugunur rural settlement, Shuda village

About the company:

Officially, the branch of the Museum of Folk Art and Life opened on August 3, 2015.

The museum is named after the classic of Tatar drama Mirkhaidar Faizi. The playwright himself visited here several times, loved and respected the native village of his father and grandfather - he wrote about this in his letters and memoirs.

There are two rooms on the second floor of the museum. In the first hall there are portraits, photographs of the Faizullin family, personal belongings, documents from their family archive. In the second hall there are exhibits - household items, tools made of metal, wood, samples of patterned weaving (towels, tablecloths), tambourine embroidery (mats for prayers - smears).

The first floor, where the administration of the rural settlement was located until 2018, also became the property of the museum. Expositions on the history of the village are reconstructed here.

The museum is the cultural and educational center of the village. Meetings, evenings of remembrance, majlises with various strata of the population are held here. And for the younger generation - master classes, quests, cognitive conversations.
