Day 1

Breakfast at the city cafe

Tour of Kazan. The program includes the most famous sights of Kazan: the Kazan Kremlin (Kol Sherif Mosque, Annunciation Cathedral, Syuyumbike Tower), the Old Tatar settlement, the Tatar village of Tugan Avylym in the city center, the oldest mosque of Marjani, the Kamal Theater, Lake Kaban, Liberty Square, Kazan University, Peter and Paul Cathedral, the miraculous Kazan icon of the Virgin.

14:00 Lunch in one of the restaurants of Kazan

After lunch, I will gladly offer you a walk along the most popular pedestrian street of Kazan - Bauman Street, which is also called the Kazan Arbat. Then I will organize for you a master class on Tatar cuisine, where the best chefs will share with you the secrets of cooking the most famous national dishes, such as chak-chak, echpochmak, vak belesh, gubadia, etc. (You can talk about what you want to learn to cook.)

Dinner.

In the evening you will have free time, and you can visit shopping centers of Kazan, bowling clubs, restaurants, theaters, exhibitions, museums, etc. As an option, you can organize another excursion “Kazan at night”.

Day 2,
10:00 – Departure to the island of Sviyazhsk. The island of Sviyazhsk is located in the picturesque mouth of the Sviyaga River on the hill "High Mountain". This is a picturesque place where you can approach the Russian countryside and see many examples of magnificent Orthodox architecture.

It is a historical and cultural pearl of the Republic of Tatarstan. The ancient fortress, built in the Middle Ages during the reign of Ivan the Terrible, served as a military outpost in the Volga region and a place for rest and preparation of military units for a campaign on impregnable Kazan. After the capture of the Kazan island, Gail continued to live and talk about the best and most important times. In this city, the spirit of history and life is felt in every monument, on every street, in every alley. The excursion route includes unique historical monuments: the Cathedral of the Holy Virgin, one of the oldest wooden churches in Russia - the Church of the Holy Trinity, the current Assumption Monastery with an architectural monument of the XVII century, the Sviyazhsk Museum, stables and workshops, a walk around the Sviyazhsky district.

After visiting the island of Sviyazhsk, we will go to the Raif Monastery, another very popular tourist destination in our Republic. This monastery is located in a beautiful forest, so you will see not only the beauty of Russian Orthodox cathedrals and churches, but also the picturesque landscapes of the Russian forest.
