The museum was founded in 1989. By the decision of Leninsk-Kuznetsk District Executive Committee, it was conceived as a local history museum. As museum objects and documents were collected, the founder of the museum came up with the idea to create a museum of the history of peasant life. The exposition of the museum: "Housing of peasants at the turn of the 19-20 centuries (peasant hut), "Weaving, clothing", "peasant crafts", "Life of peasants 50-60-ies of the 20th century". The uniqueness of the museum is that all objects are authentic, all objects are open access, you can touch everything with your hands, dress in peasant clothes, that is, “enter the era”, feel the atmosphere, the way of life of peasants of the late 19th century. This is what attracts the interest of visitors. |
