Kirzhachsky District Local History and Art Museum

The museum is located in the house of burghers Vinokurov. The building is a monument of urban planning and architecture of the second half of the XIX century.

The building mainly retained the original decor in the form of cornices, intermittent belts, pilasters-grooves, castle stones. The decorative design used elements of ancient Russian architecture, namely: "widows" decorate the facades of the house, between the level of the first and second floors there is an ornament in the form of a "town".

Kirzhachsky District Historical and Art Museum uses various forms of work in its activities: excursions (review, thematic and interactive), individual visits, expositions and exhibitions, mass events, cultural and educational events, classes of the People's University, Open Public Gagarin and Tokmakov Readings, lectures and conversations, participation in festivals, competitions, holidays with excursions, exhibitions and quizzes, etc. The museum performs educational tasks, plays an important role in the patriotic and moral education of the population, especially young people and the younger generation. The educational work of the museum is reflected in various forms of museum activities.
