Jeeping for Alibek. dombai
Description:
This route is the most popular. If you have not visited Alibek Falls, consider that you have not seen the real Dombai, the tourists say. The route starts from the Snowflake Hotel on the way to the Alibek Health Complex. The road goes up the bank of the river Alibek. On the right along the road you can see the exits of black slates. After about 10 minutes, the road goes to the clearing, where on the right side there is a cemetery of climbers. A few minutes later, the road goes to the Uzun-tala glade. Alibek and Bilingual glaciers are clearly visible from the glade. On the left side along the way, among the rocks overgrown with a fir forest you can see a waterfall falling from the Belalakai glacier. Then the road leads to the wellness complex "Alibek", a former alplagher. At this point, we leave the car and continue on foot. Crossing the bridge, you need to go past the cordon of the reserve and go to a good path. The trail goes along the picturesque glades at the foot of Semenov-Bashi. Passing through the clearings, the path branches out. To the left, the path leads to the waterfall, up to Lake Turye. The waterfall is a 10-minute walk. To the lake the trail goes through the birch forest. After passing several old hollows overgrown with Caucasian blueberries and rhododendron, the trail goes to the creek. Passing through the stream - the trail rises steeply upwards and goes to a small area. It offers a grand panorama of the Alibek glacier and the surrounding mountains. After passing below the burned-out hut, the trail overlooks the river. Passing through the river, the trail rises steeply along the moraine of the Alibek glacier and leads to Turye Lake. When it is quiet around, there are no people, tours descend to him on a watering hole - hence the name. From the glacier to the lake, you should climb the left side moraine, and return past the huge boulders along the crest of the same lateral moraine. After a 5-10 minute walk, this trail leads to the one that led to the glacier.
