Jeeping through Alibek Gorge. dombai

This route is the most popular of the routes along the Dombay gorges. If you have not visited Alibek Falls, consider that you have not seen the real Dombai, the tourists say. To the village of Dombay, the route coincides with an excursion to Dombay with a rope. You'll see:

• Gum-bashi Pass from which in clear weather the Main Caucasian Range and the handsome Elbrus are visible

From the village of Dombay, the road goes up the bank of the Alibek River. On the right along the road you can see the exits of black slates. After about 10 minutes, the road goes to the clearing, where on the right side there is a cemetery of climbers. You can go here to honor the memory of these brave people who conquered the peaks. A few minutes later, the road goes to the Uzun-tala glade. Alibek and Bilingual glaciers are clearly visible from the glade. On the left side along the way, among the rocks overgrown with fir forest you can see a waterfall falling from the Belalakai glacier. Then the road leads to the wellness complex "Alibek", a former alplagher. At this point, we leave the car and continue on foot. Crossing the bridge, you need to go past the cordon of the reserve and go to a good path. The trail goes along the picturesque glades at the foot of Semenov-Bashi. Passing through the clearings, the path branches out. To the left, the path leads to the waterfall, up to Lake Turye. To the waterfall 10 minutes walk through the beautiful forest. Near the waterfall, you can arrange a photo shoot or picnic, or you can just admire the waterfall, listening to its song. After visiting the Alibek waterfall along the Sukhumi Military Road, we go to the Gonachkhir Gorge to admire the Tumanly-Kel Lake and the Gitche-Murudzha River If you wish, you can add a visit to the Shoanin temple to the route.
