Individual excursions Tsei Gorge North Ossetia from Kislovodsk
Description:
An individual excursion to the Cey gorge begins from the cities
The Caucasian Mineral Waters pass first along Kabardino-Balkaria, as always we are accompanied by beautiful views of the Main Caucasian Ridge. And here is the border with North Ossetia (photo 1),

Here we go through passport control. We move to the village of Snake where we are already waiting for hot Ossetian pies and cold homemade beer! (photo 2)

Well fed, we go on, see the monument to the defenders of the Elkhotov Gate (Photo 3).

Next we drive through the city of Ardon, (Photo 5)

And soon we get to the city of Alagir, on the right side flows the river Ardon, originating from the glaciers of the Caucasus.
Here we are entering the military-Ossetian road.
For reference, the Military-Ossetian road begins from North Ossetia, and ends in Kutaisi Georgia, the length of the road is 275 km. In Alagir there is a cathedral church in the Byzantine style. (Photo 6)

The church square outside is fenced with an octagonal stone wall with loopholes and four corner towers. From the city of Alagira, the Military Ossetian Road leads along the wide floodplain of the left bank of the Ardon among the mountains of the Forest Ridge.
On the 9th kilometer from the outskirts of Alagir we can see the sanatorium "Tamisk" (Photo 7)

And here is one of the wonders of North Ossetia Sanctuary of St. George (Photo 8)

Behind the village of Zinzar on the right bank of Ardon there is a large village of Unal with wonderful orchards.
The gray ribbon of the Military Ossetian Road then rises up, then descends directly to the foaming waters of Ardon and finally leads to the center of the mining area - to the working village of Mizur.
4 km beyond Mizur - one of the oldest mountain villages of North Ossetia - Nuzal. This is the former family estate of the famous Ossetian hero and military commander, the husband of the Georgian queen Tamara David Soslan. To the left of the road, a crypt was preserved, in which the Leningrad archaeologist E. G. Pchelina discovered a stone coffin with the skeleton of a man of powerful build. It is believed that this is the remains of David Soslan. (Photo 9)

From Nuzal, the road goes up steeply and soon leads to the last village in the area, Buron. From here, the Military Ossetian road goes along the Kassar gorge to the southeast. To the south-west of Buron leaves the famous Tsei gorge.
In the gorge we can see a stone on which the image of Stalin is painted. (Photo 10)

Tsei has long attracted tourists and tourists with its majestic beauty: snow-white caps of giant mountains, frothy waterfalls, turbulent and rapid rivers, alpine and subalpine meadows.
Tsei pass dozens of the most diverse in complexity of tourist, mountaineering and excursion routes. During their stay in Tsei, tourists get acquainted with the flora and fauna of the gorge, visit health resorts, mountaineering camps, ancient archaeological sites "River" (Photo 11)

and Myram (Photo12).

Usually tourists go to one of the most beautiful and easily accessible glaciers of the Caucasus - Tsejsky. Unforgettably enchanting world of ice surrounds everyone who comes to the Tseisky glacier (photo 13).

There are a lot of glacial phenomena everywhere: deep cracks, ice tables, mills formed from melting ice, glacier glasses filled with cool and clear water. Above, the glacier, sliding down from steep rock slopes, breaks down and acquires bizarre forms of ice blocks and pillars.
On the way back, we with tourists, if desired, come to the thermal rooms.
