Kanjol Plateau and Lake Shadhurei in one day

Kanzhol Plateau is located at an altitude of 2950 meters above sea level. The sheer walls break sharply down a few hundred meters, and the clouds float under your feet!!! You will see picturesque rocks with columns and grottoes, in clear weather - large peaks of the Caucasian Mineral Waters: mountains Beshtau, Djutsa, Mashuk, Main Caucasian Ridge, Besengi glacier, excellent panoramic views and breathtaking angles to the highest peak of Europe - Mount Elbrus. We can say that the plateau is almost close to the slopes of the double-headed Elbrus: in a straight distance is only 10 km and it seems that you can reach it with your hand!!! Here you can see the no less famous Bermamyt plateau. The way to Kanzhol lies through the mountain villages of Kichmalka and Kamenost, as well as along the road, which is called the “Bloody Road”. I will tell you about the identity of the locals and introduce you to the legends and historical facts associated with the area. Driving through the picturesque meadows, you will see many horses, cows and sheep grazing freely in the wild. On the way, you will meet Mount Curtman, on top of which you can see the ruins, from afar resembling Stonehenge, but in fact, not completed radar center. From this mountain, I will show you unique and breathtaking views of the surrounding gorges. On the way back, we will visit the unique karst lakes of Shadhurei, the depth of the large one is 80 meters, and on the small Shadhurei, an excerpt from K.F. “Sannikov Land” was filmed. Our trip will be on the off-road UAZ Patriot SUV.
