In the Holy Places of the Pyatigorje

The pilgrimage trip begins with a visit to one of the most famous mountains - Laccolites - Mount Beshtau. Scientists say that in ancient times this place was located the temple of the Sun. In modern days, there is one of the most unique monasteries in Russia - the Holy Assumption Second Athos Monastery. This is the only monastery in Russia, the altar and prayer hall of which is under the open sky! The temple has its own shrines: the ark with the relics of the Great Martyr Panteleimon, the ark with the relics of the fathers of Kiev-Pechersk, the icon of John the Theologian with Anna the Prophet and Paraskaya Friday from the holy Mount Athos, the icons of St. Dmitry of Rostov and St. Seraphim of Sarov with particles of relics.

Further, the trip continues with a visit to the St. George Women’s Monastery on Mount Dubrovka, near the city of Essentuki. During the tour you will learn about the history of the monastery in this amazing place, about the life and life of nuns, about the miracles that occur in this place. A very large number of Christian shrines are in the monastery walls. It is here that the famous icon of the Most Holy Mother of God “Vsezaritsa” is kept, which works miracles.
