Dorshevo Manor
Description:
The Dorshevo estate was built at the end of the XVIII century, it is the hereditary possession of the Zasetskys, representatives of the noble Russian family, which, according to legend, comes from Nikolai Zasetsk, a native of Italy of the XIV century.
It is known that in the XVI-XVII centuries, many representatives of this family were noble voivodes, sobniks and governors.
Unfortunately, the elements of the decor of the 1770s have not reached our days, but today you can see the Transfiguration Church, some outbuildings and a beautiful park with picturesque ponds.
The main manor building is a long building of bright yellow color with boarded-up windows on the first floor. Alas, from the once luxurious decor, only rough and very wide pilasters have survived.
In addition, while walking around the estate, tourists can see fragments of the fence of the main, ceremonial courtyard, as well as gates created in the second half of the XIX century. It is also interesting to visit the Church of the Transfiguration, located in the eastern part of the park, which naturally passes into the forest.
Note that the estate ensemble has a classic symmetrical layout.
