In 1983, the district CPSU and the Executive Committee of the district council decided to create a museum in connection with the construction of the Boguchanskaya HPP and the flooding of the Angara villages. In 1985 the museum was opened on a voluntary basis. Since 1989 it has received state status. The uniqueness of the museum lies in the fact that it preserves archaic objects, traditions, the Angara saying. The attraction of the museum is the preservation of history, the revival of traditions, patriotic education and pride in their small homeland. |
