Dead Bay

Koktebel, Crimea, Russia

Description:

Dead bay Koktebel (“Yenishary”) refers to the most famous, famous natural attractions of the Crimean peninsula. At one time, this part of the coast was occupied by Janissaries under the leadership of the Turkish Sultan Mehmed II. According to legend, these brave wars fought here with a bloodthirsty huge monster living in the sea waters.

The bay owes its unusual name to calm even with strong winds, white coastal sands and the absence of a large amount of vegetation. The feature of the coastal landscape is represented by the “badlands” (“bad lands”) of a complex low-mountain relief, long favored by vacationers-nudists.

You can get to Dead Bay on foot or by transport - about one and a half to two kilometers from the central streets in the direction of Cape Chameleon.
