Founded in 1936 as the Narym District Museum of Local History, the Kolpashev Branch of the Tomsk Regional Museum of Local History has compiled unique archaeological and ethnographic collections that reveal the ancient past of the Narym Territory, the material and spiritual culture of the indigenous inhabitants of the region - the Selkups, Khants, Evenks; the history of the development of Siberia, the Narym Territory by Russian pioneers; the old-time culture of Russians. The expositions of the museum reflect the centuries-old history of the Narym Territory from antiquity to the present day. |
