Kopei Museum of Local History

The local history museum established in the city. Kopeiske in 1967, is one of the centers of moral and patriotic education of children and youth in the city.

Employees of the institution, transferring their knowledge of the heroic chronicle of the country, days of military glory and memorable dates, contribute to the formation of the ideals of selfless and selfless service to the Fatherland among adolescents and youth.

Regional scientific and practical conferences are held annually on the basis of the institution, where they are considered for further use of the concept of various social, humanitarian and natural sciences.

The museum’s invasion of the social space reflects the intensive development of museum pedagogy. The specialists of the institution have developed and successfully implemented since 1999 the museum and pedagogical program “I am a Kopei citizen”. It covers a wide age group of children from 6 to 18 years.

The most common and effective approach to the study of the history and culture of the native land, the education of patriotism is to hold quizzes and competitions: “My pedigree”, “Your city is your home”, “Green planet”, “Young tour guide” and others.

The museum is actively developing publishing activities. The team produces catalogs, brochures, booklets, posters, calendars, collections. All of them contain extensive information about the hometown and the region. “Museum Bulletin of the Kopei City District” – a project implemented with the active assistance of the local history council, became the hallmark of the institution.

The work of the institution is built in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministries of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Chelyabinsk region.

The museum is one of the strong institutions of the region. At the end of 2022, the funds total 37,790 units, of which the main fund is 10,665.
