I have allocated completely unique churches of Zarechye in a separate route. We will talk about the temple of the Kostroma district in the small village of Shunga and other architectural monuments.
Tourists are not found here, although from the city of Kostroma only about 10 km.
The churches miraculously remained alive after the God-fighters, and after the flooding of the Kostroma lowland, and the transformation of its flowering meadows into an endless reservoir.
We will see churches that have never been closed since they were founded. We will see ancient paintings - not yet subjected to restoration, prayer iconostases and rare icons saved by parishioners, relic crosses, single icons-sculptures! We will talk with bright priests-preachers, as well as with beautiful parishioners of the Kostroma outback!
