To Ostrovsky and Kustodiev. squirrel
Description:
Two geniuses choose almost the same place in the Kostroma province. Ostrovsky created a Russian play. Kustodiev founded his unique genre in painting. Let’s go and see what these magical places are, where great works of Russian literature and painting were born.
Today, the Ostrovsky estate “Shchelykovo” is the only surviving noble estate of the Kostroma region. From 4,500 estates. Even if you have never been to the theater, have not read any of Ostrovsky’s plays and do not know who Kabaniha, Paratov and Snegurochka are, come to Shchelykovo to see how Russian landowners lived and understand why the fashionable capital playwright left the capital and spent several months a year in his “Russian Switzerland”.
Terem Kustodiev, alas, has not survived, but those colorful places where he spent the best 10 years of his life have survived.
Today, from Kostroma to Shchelykovo, only two hours drive on a quite decent asphalt road. On the way to Shchelykovo, we will stop at the ancient Sudislavl, the center of the Old Believers (we will definitely talk about this), as well as in the village of Semyonovskoye-Lapotnoye, which now bears the name of Ostrovsky, and in which the Kustodiev Creativity Center is located. With your own eyes we will see a miracle boulder with letters. And such mysterious stones with prayers and faces carved on them, a whole placer was found here.
It's a full day trip, but we'll be back by 18:00. The cost of the tour is individual, depending on the number of participants, the presence / absence of transport and some other nuances that we will discuss. Write!
