Through time and space (bicycle tour)

Kostroma is an intrigue city, a surprise candy. Under the intricate wrapper of the provincial city of the 19th century, as we will see it in the first place, there are gray milestones of past centuries, traces of princely internecine strife and fires of the Time of Troubles, and in the outlines of new houses and avenues the ghosts of old demolished churches seem.

They say that history does not tolerate subjunctive inclination. But we will take a chance and fantasize about what Kostroma could have been and why it became what it is.
