Near the monument to Ivan Susanin, we will surely rake up the rubble of myths and legends around the feat of the Kostroma peasant.
We will also talk about the history of the two main monasteries of Kostroma. We will visit the Epiphany Cathedral, where one of the main Russian shrines, the 800-year-old icon of Theodorovskaya Mother of God, the same one, with which the young Mikhail Romanov was blessed to the kingdom within the walls of Hypatia. You will find a story about the amazing vicissitudes in the life of the Ipatiev Monastery, in particular, how the Godunov family monastery became the cradle of the Romanov dynasty. We will remember the other owners of the Russian land, who were preserved by the walls of the Ipatiev monastery - Dmitry Donskoy and his son Vasily I Dmitrievich.
