Manturov City Museum of Local Lore

Manturov Museum of Local Lore is one of the youngest local history museums in the Kostroma region.

The museum is located in the historical part of the city of Manturovo, near the temple in the name of Nicholas the Wonderworker and the monument to the fallen Manturovtsy.

Funds of the museum today have more than 11 thousand units of storage and continue to replenish. In addition to traditional exhibitions, the museum hosts various events and master classes.

Manturov Museum is the center of local history work of the city of Manturovo and Manturovo district. And in August 2001, director and local historian Toropov Sergey Nikolaevich was awarded the highest award in the field of culture of the region - the Governor's Prize "Recognition". In addition, he wrote several books on the history of the region.
