The first issue of the newspaper Kostroma Provincial Vedomosti was published on January 8, 1838.
The first newspapers are not like modern ones. They were small black and white pamphlets that came out twice a week. They consisted of two notebooks, the official and informal part. Later, provincial reports began to be published weekly, in large format.
The newspaper ended with the events of 1917. Today we can restore the life of the province of the XIX – early XX centuries.
Some articles of Kostroma Provincial News are used on daily excursions"Kostroma at 15:15.".
