Military Historical Museum of the Center for Additional Education of Children

The Polytechnic Museum, the first and only one created by schoolchildren in Russia, opened in 1964 at secondary school No. 1. For objective reasons, in 1999, part of the exposition, the department "Victory Weapons", was transferred to the center of additional education for children of the city administration of education. All exhibits were made by school students. Sections of the exposition "Aviation", "Artillery", "Navy", "Self-propelled installations", "Tanks", "Firearms".

Museum - educational, address. Tasks of work: formation of students of an objective approach to historical events, studying the history of Russia and the native land. The main directions of work: excursion service of the city population, organization and holding of lessons, talks, lectures, other mass events on the basis of the museum. The museum is now repurposed as a military-historical museum.
