Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God in Volkonsky

The Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God is located in the village of Volkonsky, it is twelve kilometers from the city of Kozelsk.

The area of the temple is four hundred and eighty square meters, nearby is an orchard, which still has many apple trees. There was once a large library in the church.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the temple was turned into a mill and forge, and the building itself did not work. However, it can be restored if desired. Today, at the temple, services are conducted, thanks to the donations of parishioners, the church gradually regains its former beautiful appearance. However, it needs funding and assistance from outsiders, both in terms of materials and repairs.
