The museum is a repository of wooden architecture, samples of ancient tools of labor and everyday life used in the pre-revolutionary and pre-war peasant economy of the Mari Volga region. Directions of the museum: search, acquisition and restoration of antiquities, promotion of the history and ethnography of mountain Mari people, establishment of business contacts and work with tourist and excursion organizations, cooperation with other museums of Russia and foreign countries. |
