Spub waterfall

The Gorge, located in the Mostovo district of the Krasnodar Territory on the Gubs River, is famous for its natural beauty. One of the most beautiful places of the gorge is Gubsky waterfall, located about six kilometers from the village of Barakaevskaya and four hundred meters from the confluence of the rivers Gubs and Pseubek.

The sponge waterfall is not that big, but its structure is actually unique. The riverbed here blocked a huge gypsum boulder. For many years, water pierced a small hole in it about twenty by twenty centimeters, through which a powerful stream falls from a height of about eight meters. The rock that blocked the waterfall itself forms a small grotto, making the Guba Falls even more picturesque.
