Monument "Cossacks - founders of the Kuban land"

The monument "Cossacks - founders of the Kuban land" was opened in 2005 in front of the administration building of the Krasnodar Territory. The author of the project, sculptor Alexander Apollonov embodied in a bronze figure the collective image of the Cossack-defender, educator and pioneer.

The monument is a sculpture of a Cossack on a horse mounted on a pedestal. The height of the Cossack is 4.2 meters, the monument is completely 7.2 meters. The sculpture was taken to the installation site by helicopter. The monument is a venue for Cossack events and a city landmark telling about the history of the region.
