Monument to the Holy Great Martyr Catherine

The monument to the Holy Great Martyr Catherine, the patroness of Krasnodar, was erected in 2009 on the central alley of the city. The monument was consecrated by Metropolitan Isidore and is not only an ornament of the city, but should also encourage thinking about the eternal.

An eight-meter bronze sculpture of the Great Martyr is mounted on a rotunda in the form of a bell decorated with gilded angels. According to the plan of the architect, everyone who enters the rotunda under the sculpture of the Great Martyr will be able to feel himself as if under the patronage of a saint. The monument is surrounded by many fountains and equipped with night lighting.
