Women's monastery in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Vsezaritsa"
Description:
The status of the monastery was assigned by the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on July 16, 2005 – the parish created in April 2003 in the name of the icon of the Mother of God “Vsetsaritsa” was transformed into a women’s monastery (entry in the Journal of the Holy Synod No. 55). The need to create a monastery in Krasnodar was caused by the absence of monasteries in the city, which arose 212 years ago, and now has almost a million people. The dedication of the monastery to the icon of the Mother of God “Vsezaritsa”, prayers before which are especially helpful for cancer, is caused by the fact that to the beginning of the XXI century. Krasnodar region took the 3rd place in Russia in the growth of cancer after Moscow and St. Petersburg.
The initiator of the construction of the temple and the creation of a monastery on the territory adjacent to the regional oncological dispensary was the chief doctor of this dispensary at that time, Honored Doctor of Russia, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory of the III convocation, Dudik Yuriy Evgenievich. The abbot of the monastery is Abbess Neonilla, the mother of Dr. Dudik.
The monastery is currently located in two territories: the central one - in Krasnodar near the cancer center, and the territory of the farmstead - in the Dinsky district northwest of Plastunovskaya on the banks of the Stavok River (1301 km of the M4 Don Moscow - Sochi highway). Divine services are held in two temples: in the temple in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “Vsezaritsa” in Krasnodar and in the temple in honor of Sava the Sanctified on the monastery compound.
The monastery is built in an ancient architectural style (V...XVI centuries), unique for the Kuban. All the monastic buildings of our monastery – both in Krasnodar and on the farmstead – temples, chapels, bell towers, spring font, monastery walls, entrance arches, cell buildings, abbot’s house, monastery shops, gazebos, a security room – were built and continue to be built according to the projects of the Honored Architect of Russia – Izhikova Vyacheslav Nikolaevich.
