Children without Russian citizenship will not be allowed abroad

Important changes will affect Russians with children planning a trip to neighboring countries and republics: Abkhazia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and South Ossetia.

For many years, there has been an agreement with these states on simplified border crossing without presenting a passport. Now in the birth certificate of young tourists must be a mark on the citizenship of the Russian Federation.

If a child has a passport, it is enough to travel abroad. Also, the mark will not be required when traveling to Turkey, India, Thailand - countries with which the relevant agreement has not yet been concluded.

However, it is important to take into account that from March 1, 2024, if your child does not have his passport, and the birth certificate does not have a stamp of citizenship of the Russian Federation – you will not be released abroad.

How do I get a citizenship note?

The procedure is simple: it is enough for parents with passports to approach the migration department with a child’s birth certificate. In the children's document and will be marked.

But there is one nuance - it is impossible to register through the MFC or Public Services, you can get a mark only in the order of a live queue.

Be prepared that not every department will immediately put a seal - sometimes the process can take up to 5 working days. And with the holiday season and school holidays approaching, I believe that waiting will become inevitable due to the large flow of appeals.
