Big Thatch

Here is the program of the winter hike to Big Thach. The route is beautiful and interesting. Recommended for tourists with experience or tourists in good shape.

First day

Group gathering: Krasnodar, Station Square 1, a monument to Lenin at 9.00. Transfer city Krasnodar - Novoprokhladny village. From the window of the car we admire the Khajokh cliff. Getting food, group equipment, safety instruction. Off-road transport to the beginning of the route - the Kuna River valley. Overnight in the woods near the spring. Fire the fire. Second day

On the forest path we go to the Coryto Range. Here, under the shadow of giant pines, our second night. If the hunting show is not busy, then we spend the night in the showroom, if the house is crowded - put a tent camp. It is always possible to warm up at a warm stove. We're making a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, a radial exit to the top of the Koryto.

Third day

Jokes aside, wear snowshoes. We are waiting for the endless snowy expanses of winter Thach. Transition: Jubilee glade - Shestakov glade. We admire the panorama of the handsome Big Thach in the winter dress. Near the sheshakov's shed live interesting creatures - "rat squirrels", the shed is full of mysterious sounds. He lives his life: somewhere a log cracks, the chambers creak, the oven hums hot. Cozy.

Fourth day

It's the hardest road of our trip. Travers of the Big and Small Thacha. Good physical work and a lot of positive emotions and pride. In the evening in the showroom Vetrianom for a cup of hot tea, we once again experience daytime adventures and make plans for climbing. In sunny weather from the pass between Thachy you can see Elbrus, 5642m.

Fifth day

Ascension to the top of the Big Thach! and descent into the valley of the Sakhrai River.

Attention! The ascent will take place only in the complete absence of avalanche danger.

Lunch. Packing backpacks. Down, down, down to the valley. Sahrai. Here on the banks of the noisy Sakhrai we put the last forest camp.

Sixth day

Today we have a light extreme, a bunch of fords and multi-axis tracking ... We go down to the village of Novoprosladny. Accommodation in a guest house in the village (or departure to Krasnodar to a hotel). Dinner. A summary of the campaign. A lot of impressions.

The seventh day is departure.
