Trekking in Mezmay. Comfort tour with hotel

Mezmay is a small village in the Krasnodar Territory, around which tower picturesque mountain ranges. Nature generously endowed these places with many waterfalls and stunning observation decks.
In recent years, Mezmay has become very popular! This is a great place for those who want to forget about the bustle of the city for a while, live in a cozy hotel and enjoy simple walks through local natural attractions.
Translated into Russian, “Mezmay” means “apple forest”. And that's the absolute truth! In May, dozens of flowering apple trees will please your eye, and in the summer you will be happy to try local apples and apple juice.
During the trip, we will visit more than a dozen waterfalls, see the majestic Guam Gorge and climb the famous observation platforms of the Eagle Regiment and the Pyramid! In addition, in Mezmay we will visit a pottery exhibition, apiary, try local honey, jam and tea from mountain herbs.
Travel to Mezmay is recommended for beginner tourists and parents with children.

Day 1

Until 11:30 – group gathering at the railway station Krasnodar-1 (near the entrance to the North wing of the station).
Transfer by minibus to pos. Mezmay (travel time 3 hours). After arrival – a settlement in the hotel.

Sightseeing tour of the village, waterfalls of the Kamenka River.
The instructor will conduct a sightseeing tour of the village and show where the shops and the local small market are located. In Mezmay you can buy very tasty homemade cheeses, smoked brisket, as well as homemade milk and brynza =) .
After visiting local shops, we go on a simple walk along the Kamenka River gorge, which will please us with small waterfalls.

Day 2

Kurjip Gorge. Waterfall and Isichenko cave, observation “Pine”, Palm waterfall.
Kurdzhip Gorge is a storehouse of attractions! This is where we begin our acquaintance with Mezmay. All our way will pass along a rocky path along the Kurjips River. At the very beginning of the gorge spring, and then - a huge river backwater "Six meter". Next, the trail will lead us along the fabulous, boxwood forest to the Isichenko cave. A powerful waterfall bursts out of the cave! The water here is drinking, very clean. From the cave even a water pipe is laid, through the pipes of which water enters the village of Mezmay.
Keep moving! Ahead we have the upper and lower Palm waterfalls, as well as our first observation deck “Pine”. From here there is a magnificent view of the Kurjip Gorge! Here tourists always take spectacular photos, which immediately want to share with friends.

Day 3

Eagle rocks, observation decks "Pine", "Pyramid" and "Eagle Regiment".
Eagle rocks are a real calling card of Mezmay! These majestic rocks adorn the Mezmay valley on the north side and are visible from almost any part of the village. Along the route, we will have several interesting places at once: observation platforms "Pine", "Pyramid" and the most famous attraction - "Eagle Regiment".
The way to the Eagle Regiment goes through a deciduous forest, with a moderate climb. It will take an hour and a half, and we are here. The eagle shelf is located in a rock massif and is a long ledge about 5 meters deep. These rocks are called eagles, because slightly higher nest families of bearded and sip. Our tourists simply call them eagles! Birds can be seen here at almost any time.
On the eagle shelf, as if on giant steps, it is very pleasant to sit and enjoy the incredible panorama of the Lago-Naki plateau, Mount Zaudu, Utyug, the Azish-Tau ridge and the village of Mezmay.
Keep moving! We go up to the observation deck “Pine” and go to the Pyramid Mountain. From below, this mountain looks huge, conical and very similar to the Pyramid. But the main value of this place is the luxurious views around: from here the Kurjips River, the Guam Gorge and the Dry Beam are perfectly visible.

Day 4

Guam Gorge is another highlight of our route!
The Emerald River Kurjips has created a grand canyon with a length of about 3 kilometers. The canyon walls rise to a height of 400 meters! The rocky sides of the gorge are decorated with boxwood, yew, fir, juniper. Throughout the route, numerous waterfalls break down from the rocks.
A special charm of the gorge is given by the narrow-gauge railway, on which the excursion train runs. Part of the gorge we will walk, after which everyone can ride this train.
The active part of the route: 13.5 km, the height difference of 640-550 m, the duration of the route is 5-6 hours.

Day 5

Waterfalls Monastyrsky, University and Chinarev.
Today is a long, but very pleasant day! After all, almost all the time we walk along flat, forest paths, almost without climbing. During the day we will visit three completely different waterfalls.
First on our way we will meet a small monastery waterfall. From it is worth a little more - and open in all its splendor 60-meter University Falls. Standing next to it, you feel the incredible power of the water! The waterfall is surrounded by rocks made of multicolored limestone. At its foot there is always a small lake.
After a lot of admiration, we go to the next waterfall, located on the Cinarka River. This waterfall is very unusual - it is located in a kind of rock amphitheater. Water falls a powerful stream from a height of 12 meters and so beckons to swim here!
The active part of the route: 18.7 km, the height difference of 640-930 m, the duration of the route is 7-8 hours.

Day 6

Moon Falls and Mezmay Stone.
On this day, we go again to walk in the forests of Mezmay. On a forest trail with a small climb we come to the bridge over the Alabaster River. From here we climb up for 30-40 minutes and come to the two-cascade Moon Falls. If you try, then along the banks of the river you can find selenite (lunar stone). It was he who gave the waterfall its name.
Then we go down the already familiar path and go to Mezmay stone! The path through the forest is very pleasant, the road with a minimum climb. The forest is very dense, picturesque, in may along the trail blooms a lot of garlic. At some point, the forest breaks apart and stunning views open up!! Right in front of us is the beloved Eagle shelf, the valley of the Kurjips River and the village of Mezmay. In this place we will sit for a long time and enjoy the picturesque panoramas!

Day 7

Visit the exhibition of pottery and apiary.
In the village of Mezmay live craftsmen who create beautiful clay products with their own hands. We will visit the exhibition of pottery, where you can buy a jug or a bowl, as well as other souvenirs and magnets for memory.
We will also visit the apiary. The owner of the apiary is an amazing person, in love with his business. He knows everything about bees!
At the apiary, we will try several types of honey and mead, as well as the opportunity to buy pollen and even honey beer.
Duration of 2.5-3 hours.

Transfer by minibus to Krasnodar.
17:00 – arrival at the railway station and Krasnodar airport, departure home.

Depending on the weather conditions, the physical condition of the participants and other factors, the route of the hike may be changed.
