Lake Bele is one of the most popular holiday destinations. This is the largest lake of Khakassia, located on the hilly expanses of the Jirim steppe. Bele consists of two halves - a large and a small Bele, connected by a duct. The western half of the reservoir is more fresh, a small river Tuim flows into it, translated from the Khakassian "tuyukh" - "deaf". Here fish are bred: perch, whitefish, pelyad, bream, trout and ket. The eastern half of the lake is saltier, and the water in it is close to the sea. The mineralized composition of water with glauber salt, has healing properties - accelerates wound healing, relieves malaise and fatigue, headaches.
