Communal Bridge over the Yenisei

Communal Bridge is a road and pedestrian bridge, which is one of the symbols of Krasnoyarsk.

The communal bridge was opened in October 1961. Before its opening, the crossing over the Yenisei took place on a draw pontoon bridge, and even earlier - on a floating bridge. Boat and ferry crossings and railway bridges were also used.

The bridge was built according to the project of P. A. Egorov and K. K. Ivashova. The builders of the Communal Bridge were awarded the Lenin Prize for the development and use of innovative technologies in construction. The height of the bridge is 26 meters, and the width is 23.4 meters.
