Description:

The date of foundation of OJSC Krasnoyarsk Machine-Building Plant is considered to be July 13, 1932. Initially, the company produced dredges, steam boilers and excavators for gold mines.

With the outbreak of the war in 1941, the enterprise was subordinated to the People’s Commissariat of Armaments, and the Kolomensk factories named after Voroshilov and Kuibyshev evacuated from the western regions of the country, partially Leningrad factories Arsenal and Bolshevik, Kaluga and Stalingrad plants joined it. Since that time, the main products of Krasmash have become automatic anti-aircraft guns.

In 1958, by government decree, the plant was repurposed to manufacture rocket and space technology. After a radical reconstruction, in April 1961, the development of the first single-stage medium-range ballistic missile 8K65 began.

Currently, Krasmash OJSC is the main manufacturer in Russia of ballistic missiles for submarines, as well as the basic upper stage module for ZENIT and PROTON launch vehicles.
