Tuck Rock
Description:
Rock massif "Takmak" is part of the state reserve "Pillars". The height is 417 m above the level of the Yenisei River.
This is the only one of the "Pillars", which is perfectly visible from the city and, accordingly, a magnificent view of Krasnoyarsk breaks off from it.
Takmak includes a number of spurs that make up a single system. The top of the Takmak is the “Big and Small Head”. The western part of the slope is called the Bear.
For the first time Takmak was conquered in 1899 by Kachalova Anastasia Leontievna, the first woman in Russia who was engaged in mountain sports.
There are many legends associated with this mountain. The most popular about the "king of all Siberia" - the sorcerer Yenisei, the daughters of his glorious Bazaihu and Laletin and their beloved Prince Takmak, turned by the formidable ruler to stone for disobedience.
You can get to Takmak through the Beaver Log ski complex, if you walk along the cable car, starting in the Bazaikhi Valley.
