Vinogradov Bridge to Tatyshev Island

tatyshev Island, Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, Russia

Description:

Krasnoyarsk, like many Russian cities, was founded on the banks of the river. Therefore, bridges became an integral part of its urban infrastructure, including a cable-stayed bridge that connected the left bank of the Yenisei with the island of Tatyshev.

The island of Tatyshev a couple of decades ago was almost uninhabited. And today it is one of the most popular places in Krasnoyarsk for sports. You can get to the island just by the pedestrian bridge, built between 1979 and 1985. A two-pile cable-stayed bridge across the Yenisei duct looks light and graceful, and some may even seem unreliable. In fact, in the design and construction of cable-stayed bridges, accurate mathematical calculations are especially important, which allow for external weightlessness of structures to achieve their reliability during operation.

The length of this bridge is 550 meters, the width is 10 meters. Initially, the bridge was named after the founder of Krasnoyarsk Andrei Dubensky. However, after a while the bridge was renamed. Now it is called Vinogradovsky by the name of civil engineer S.N. Vinogradov, the head of the Bridge Detachment No. 7, the organization that built the bridge.
