Bogotol Historical and Ethnographic Museum

Bogotolsk City Museum of Local Lore was opened in 1993 on the initiative of the city residents and with the active participation of the city administration and the city council.

Currently, the museum is represented by 4 exhibition halls, a multimedia hall and a storage facility. In the halls of the museum, visitors are offered permanent thematic expositions: “Life of the peasants of Prichulimye”, “Merchant’s life”, “Life of the Soviet period”, “Nature”. City. A human being. Funds are represented by 14 collections: painting, graphics, sculpture, household items, documents, rare books, history of technology. The main fund is 6,327 exhibits.

In 2019, the museum’s activities were built in accordance with the main directions of cultural policy related to the 85th anniversary of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Battle of Stalingrad, the Year of Theatre in Russia. The museum held a number of events dedicated to these events.

Cultural and educational activities are one of the leading directions of museum work. Specialists conduct survey and thematic excursions, educational events, master classes, give lectures, organize meetings with interesting people.
