About the company:

Municipal budget institution of culture "Krasnoyarsk Museum and Exhibition Center", originally - Krasnoyarsk City Exhibition Hall, began its creative life in August 1978 with an exhibition dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the city of Krasnoyarsk, "Krasnoyarsk - yesterday, today, tomorrow". And it took place, as well as a number of subsequent exhibitions, in the building of the Cathedral, in the Intercession Church on V. Surikov Street.

In 1983, a branch of the city exhibition hall was opened in the Green Grove on Metallurgov Avenue 13 A, and here the first, long remembered by Krasnoyarsk people, was the exhibition of Armenian artists “Fairy Tale in a Tree”. In 1989, the building of the Cathedral was transferred to the Krasnoyarsk diocese, and the city exhibition hall was completely moved to 13 A Metallurgical Avenue, where it is located to this day.

Every year, up to 15 exhibitions are held in small areas of KMVC.

KIEC holds mass events, creative competitions, meetings with artists, master classes for visitors. The works of Siberian and, above all, Krasnoyarsk artists are regularly promoted. Honored Artist of Russia Toivo Ryannel held his anniversary exhibition “My White Light” in the hall of the museum and exhibition center. Repeatedly, famous Krasnoyarsk artists represented their works here: Valery Pilipchuk, Vladimir Bychinsky, Sergey Gorbatko, etc.

In 2009, KMVC took part in the international museum biennale "Dahl", presenting the installation "Medal", and in 2013 - in the X museum biennale "Love of space" with the installation "Y. Hashek in Krasnoyarsk".
